Summary of my target

Here is a summary of who I'm targeting for my job search.

Integrated Agencies
Integrated agencies that have a need for a biz dev person to engage, retain and foster client relationships. The ideal agency is an agency that take a consultative approach, a holistic view and has a quantifiable mindset when addressing client goals.

Creative by nature. Creative to this agency does not necessarily mean content or design. It means much more. Creative delivery is equally important. Delivery that is engaging, interactive and allows audience participation, reaction and supports dialog.

Technology Companies
Emerging or Fortune organizations that need to drive quantifiable results through strategic demand, retention and conversions strategies. Companies that understand the importance of identifying, creating and developing 1to1 relationships to increase revenue and reducing overall long term expenditures.

I'm truly excited with the progress at this point. I've had the good fortune of talking and meeting with some extremely talented people who represent some of the best known brands in the agency and tech market today.

With that, I'm still looking and welcome all leads, recommendations, support, ideas, feedback, compassionate honesty and all that you have to offer!!

Update!! An open letter

As you can imagine it's been an exciting couple of months for me. During the search for my next role I've been learning about some exciting companies, reconnected with some former colleagues, and gotten to know some wonderful people. Conversations that are no doubt helping to guide me and I look forward to  continued input on my process.

A couple of interesting and unexpected facts: I've more than doubled my Twitter following by providing insightful content through my posts. My LinkedIn profile has enjoyed similar gains as I continue to reach out with personal messages to like-minded individuals who are passionate about revenue, growth and technology. It's affirming to see my old and newly acquired knowledge be of use - even to people I've never even met!

I've discovered a new (new to me) word that I hope to make common place in marketing and sales circles everywhere... "Bardo". It's a Tibetan Buddhism word meaning in between. The stage between death and rebirth specifically. Similar to where some of our opportunities get lost or forgotten about. I open to suggestions about how I might use this in a post or any other thoughts you have around the sentiment. Do you find opportunities disappearing into the black hole of customer day-to-day operations? Finding sales cycles extending? What are your thoughts on counteracting this revenue delaying phenomenon?

It's a great time of year so get out there and enjoy all the find things summer has to offer. In the meantime, if I can help you in anyway, please don't hesitate to reach out - would love to hear what you've been up to!

Be sure to share my blog!

Best,
Mike
